Being surrounded by nature each day, I became inspired to create a product that would capture the beauty of the countryside that surrounds us.Our garden is filled with lavender, calendula and roses which influenced the first soaps I developed and I still love to use these home-grown botanicals to decorate the soaps at Bramblewood Soap.

I was on maternity leave in 2019 with our youngest son when I decided to follow my heart and take the leap to start my own business. I had enjoyed making soap and bath treats for family and friends for years, but when our children were born, I wanted to be able to use natural skincare products that were free from chemicals and additives, so I created my own.

I developed BrambleWood from a wonderful hobby into a business that would combine my love of country garden flowers with my desire to make beautiful natural skincare.

SELF-CARE SECRETS

I love to treat myself to a long relaxing bath at least once a week. With two very young children and a business to run, I have very little time to focus on myself but a long soak in the bath is wonderfully rejuvenating. My favourite treat is to add one of our bath fizzies into the water to create a wonderful at-home spa experience. Each fizzy is created using our signature recipe and enriched with moisturising cocoa butter, essential oils and beautiful botanicals for an extra special treat.

BUSINESS PLANS

I would love to start offering workshops to be able to teach others about the wonderful natural, and plastic free products that can make yourself at home. I have also created some delicious new festive scents and gift options which will be launching in the next couple of months.

WAYS TO BE MORE SUSTAINABLE

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. These three words are becoming very well known now but they are truly at the heart of choosing to live a more sustainable life. Each small change makes a difference and even if you can only change one thing at a time, that is a wonderful start!
