I live with my husband in Spain and dream about the day we can have cats! I’m vegan because I love animals and I’m passionate about environmental issues too.

MY MORNING ROUTINE
I wish I could say I had a calm start to the day with meditation or exercise but after a light breakfast of banana with peanut butter and ginger tea, I’m straight to work on my laptop. I have to squeeze Happy Carrot around my full time job so every minute I can work on it is precious! The exception is on Sunday when we make carrot juice and head off to the countryside for the day with no internet in sight - bliss! Luckily my skincare routine is super simple, I cleanse with our Incredible Carrot Hero Balm, then moisturise with our Terrific Tomato Facial Oil on damp skin and apply SPF! My skin needs this kind of simplicity or I break out in acne and suffer from sore inflamed patches.

MY FUTURE PLANS
I’d love to grow our product range and grow my very small business into a name that people recognise and that makes them smile. My ultimate goal is to help more people have happy skin whilst staying close to my values. I’m busy working on more skincare superheroes that I hope people will love!

3 THINGS ABOUT HAPPY CARROT SKINCARE

  1. Our three core values are fun, simplicity and sustainability. They’re behind everything I do and influence every single decision! Much of my product development, for example, focuses around finding upcycled ingredients that come from food and drink waste, and sourcing them as close to home as possible.
  2. You might also think that our pots are made of normal plastic, but no, they’re made from 100% recycled plastic which has a lower eco-footprint than glass! I also work to keep the formulas as simple as possible with 10 or less ingredients.
  3. Our Awesome Apricot Lip Balm has only 6 ingredients, 86% of which are upcycled! Where’s the fun, right? I also like to mix things up with googly eyed fruit and veg on social media and silly rhymes because why should skincare be boring?
