I currently live in Hampshire with my husband, our children and 2 cats. My formulator journey started in 2005 when I made my first cream, and I absolutely loved the magic of the process. It was only after the birth of my youngest son that I considered launching my own brand. After 3 years of formulating, testing and refining, Florian Botanicals was launched in 2020 with two products.
MY MORNING ROUTINE
My laissez-faire attitude to life isn’t the best way to run a business, so I had to find a creative way to be prepared, organised and intentional in my day. My morning routine helps to structure my life, my head, and my business. Mornings are my favourite time of day – so much opportunity and life - I wake at 5am for a little bit of movement, meditation and journaling. After a shower, facial cleanse and oil (I don’t wear make-up), I have a coffee and organise the tasks and dreams for the day. When the boys wake up, things pick up speed, as we need to get ready for school, where I have classical music in the background. After the school run I have breakfast, usually oats or fruit with a herbal tea. The rest of the day is herbal teas and indie folk tunes and working through tasks set in the morning.
MY FUTURE PLANS
I am extremely excited as we have just launched a few more products in our baby range, along with two new products in development, which we hope to have ready for market by the end of the year. Our aim is to build an independent skincare brand with gentle, yet effective multi-functional products. Our foundations are rooted in sustainability and integrity. Modern lifestyles and busy schedules make it so easy to loose connection. Our mission is to offer parents a simplified routine that focuses on building bonds with their little ones.
